27. And after this He went out and saw a tax collector named Lĕwi, sitting at the tax office, and said to him, “Follow Me.”
28. And he, having left all, rose up and followed Him.
29. And Lĕwi made a great feast for Him in his house. And there were a great number of tax collectors and others who sat down with them.
30. And the Pharisees and their scribes grumbled against His taught ones, saying, “Why do You eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”
31. And יהושע answering, said to them, “Those who are well do not need a physician, but those who are sick.
32. “I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”
33. And they said to Him, “Why do the taught ones of Yoḥanan fast often and make prayers, and likewise those of the Pharisees, but Yours eat and drink?”
34. And He said to them, “Are you able to make the friends of the bridegroom fast while the bridegroom is with them?
35. “But days shall come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, then they shall fast in those days.”
