15. The king made silver and gold as common in Jerusalem as stones, and cedars as numerous as the sycamores of the Shephelah.
16. Solomon’s horses were imported from Egypt and Cilicia, where the king’s agents purchased them at the prevailing price.
17. A chariot imported from Egypt cost six hundred shekels of silver, a horse one hundred and fifty shekels; so they were exported to all the Hittite and Aramean kings.
18. Solomon gave orders for the building of a house for the name of the Lord and also a king’s house for himself.
